Well, what did you expect from a politician? That he would say the truth? Instead, he 'brown-noses' the Americans (I feel sick) to attempt to get support for his own agenda. But then, the Isaeri government has been doing that ever since it's foundation, not only to America, but also the world...one should read between the lines here. What is Israels true intent? And what do they wish to accomplish with the current actions in the middle-east?

Webshaman, I'll read between your lines and assume you think that the Israelis want to do to the Palestinians what I think the Palestinians want to do to the Israelis. Let me ask you directly, why haven't they done it? What is stopping them? They can do it any time they choose.

whats stopping the Palestinians is a lack of a 'convential' , 'organized' and equipped military.

whats stopping the Israelis is that they would get pummeled by there neighbours, most likely starting a regional war, plus chancing isolation from the international community.

makes the word 'stalemate' quite the apt word imho

Way to go VP. Couldn't have said it better...'wag the dog by the tail'. That's why we have this situation (IMHO).

You know, the Palestinians would (and still could) have 'won' this thing with non-violent protest. I'm just surprised that they aren't 'intelligent' enough to realize this...
