Hey all,

Started this new thread to try and save some download time for some folks... Is 89k too big? I took some shortcuts but if I take anymore out I lose the effect I'm going for.... You should have seen it before I decreased the file size.... Sheesh! I wonder if HAL himself has memory problems?

Comments please?

Do you really need the fade in on the text? You could probably significantly reduce the size if you just had it pop in and out. I suppose that would kind of decrease the effect, but I think it would still work.

Yep, it's nice as is. Two things puzzles me, anyway : the red light have few colors, and the gray-green-ish background of the light seems too bright compared to the dark surounding it once the red light went off.

My 0.02? to reduce the file size : you could try to disable the dithering that bring a lot of noise and changes in the bottom part of JUNG 9000. At worst, to do so, you could do an animated GIF with just the animated parts with dithering enabled, and recompose the resulting image with the background and disable the dithering.

If you remove the anti-aliasing from the text, it should reduce the file size and will also look *much* better.
