Hey guys, check this out. http://www.dodgeit.com

This is a read only email service. It works great if you have to fill in the give email part on a form, but do not want spam mail in your regular email. All you have to do is fill out (place email name here)@dodgeit.com Then you can go to the site, and check the email there filling in the email name, but you have to remember that it is read only.

Cool huh? I saw this on tv and I thought I would share this.

It is interesting, but if a company sends you a password or something through email, then it is visible to everyone, since the accounts have no security.

I have something like that through the gamming clan I'm in. We can send as long as we provide the outgoing server. Also you will need to be able to send if you sign up for something that requires your conformation with an email reply. Something like a mailing list would do that.

Why not just use a free email service such as hotmail or yahoo? Seriously, I have my hotmail account locked down to just put messages from certain addresses into my inbox, everything goes into the spam folder. Every few days, I browse the spam folder to see if something got misfiled (aka, I haven't added someone new to my accepted list) and then delete. Works like a charm, and I don't have to worry about my home email getting spammed at all.

Some sites wont let you register with common free services (hotmail, yahoo, etc) to prevent spam accounts and such.
