I've googled, searched here and provided burnt offerings, but I still can't find out how to style a radio button or checkbox so they don't look like the standard radio button and checkbox.
Not looking for anything fancy, just something that looks nicer than the standard form controls.
Thanks

Sorry to inform you mate, but you can't do it with CSS or DHTML.

For some reason, Radio, Checkbox's and select boxes have very restriced style properties, things like padding and top, left, etc may work, but style won't they're controlled by the OS you use, so if you have mac OSX you will see nice rounded option buttons with the aqua scheme, but the same page viewed on Win98 will be the usual that you've no doubt seen before.

With WinXP it depends on the visual style you have installed.

If you want nicer looking option buttons and checkboxes, you could try using images instead and some javascript, it would work almost the same way as an image rollover, but would work with the onClick event.

Hope this helps,

Cheers,

Blaise
