Let's see where should i start.
o yes the dark links. When you move over the links on the page the text is getting dark and very hard to read.
A lot of older people or people with bad eyesight will have problems with it. You could lighten up the background or the text for the active link.

The scrolling text should go. Make it big, make it bright orange but stop the scroll. The human eye will focus on on movement. We developed this during thousants off years while hunting and there it's usefull. Bot on a static page it makes the rest hard to read. Everytime i read something attention is called to the scroll on top...

I think the 'about-us' section and the 'philosophy' section could be combined for a better understanding.

The contact-us page generates an pop-up, this is something you should reconsider. Going to an separate page on your site or down to the footer might be an more elegant solution.

The forum link on the bottom gives an 'page not found' error

The forum itself uses bravenet technology and is thus paid for with those irritating ads
I you can use PHP and MySQL on your webserver/host is suggest to use navboard. It's pretty straightforward and you can customize the colors through css.

Good luck

I'm no web expert, but I do browse the web, and have opinons on stuff. My first comment would be to agree with Rinswind 2nd about the dark links. The original color is fine but I prefer a lighter hover color rather than darker (where it is unreadable).

Also agree with him on the scrolling. It takes focus away from any other part of the page and makes it hard to read anything else. Think it can be done another way.

Other than that I pretty much like the color scheme and it is easy to get around and navigate. I am not a code junkie so I can't comment on that but it loaded fine even on this old junker at work with dialup.

Oh ya, and I agree, popups are no good, and advertisment bars in the forum can be annoying when there are so many options to go with that don't require them!

Wish ya luck.

Edit://

Went back and actually looked at the "popup" since I hadn't actually looked at it. Those kinds of popups don't necessarily bother me. It's the kind that pop up along with another page that I hate. That contact page though, I don't mind, just a simple page without breaking the current page you are on works fine (for me anyways)

I like the new hover colors for the links much better, but the fonts also resize, which modifies the cell or image around the lnk each time which is distracting and annoying :P

NO more scroller, much better. I can read the page without being distracted. You took advice pretty good so far, keep it up =D

resizing fonts - GONE .... still trying to decide what to do with the little pop up thing...

i think the colour scheme was loosely a subconscious ode to the asylum...

i'm working on a perl bulletin board thing now and i stuffed up my ftp client by uploading .htaccess files that i now can't find to delete and i have no idea how to reconfigure ftp express to show hidden files so i've renamed the paths they're in and uploaded the cgi files again and now i STILL can't get the baord to run on my website and if anybody out there as any inkling of an idea what i'm going on about... help. please ...

thanks again...
