Hey everyone! I'm currently trying to code my new art website but I'm having difficulties making the mouseovers work. So far, I can make it so that an image changes when I put the cursor over it, but what I want to do is make that image and two others (not in the area where the mouse is) change too. Does anyone know how I can do this? |

During the time Dream Catcher took to register to the Asylum he/she could have found thousands of examples of working scripts and tutorials. Alas, to cite a hard working inmate, it seems that the concept of moving your ass and get to work remains unknown to many people. |

He also could have found a place where people help other people figure this type of thing out....and politely asked his question, in order to get some specific help.... |

DL-44: Indeed, but the first result on Google for onMouseOver: more than one image change gives exactly what DreamCatcher needs. Which makes the hypothesis of an unlucky research on the net very unlikely. That's why I assume DreamCatcher didn't "really" investigated his problem. He's been able to formulate his problem but didn't made the "effort" to type that formulation in a search engine. |

Or perhaps he simply doesn't understand the results he got. |

Yup. Great resources, once you get to know the place |

You gonna hate me but there's no need to know the Asylum by heart to click on FAQ, then DHTML/JavaScript and finaly How do I dynamically swap images ?. But I shouldn't assume that Dream Catcher knows what the FAQ accronym means and what is the use of a such section on a site. |

EDDII: Indeed that discussion is pointless. My 3 previous posts proved 2 things:
Did I already said I'm teasing ? Whatever, like you, I'm always happy to help other people ... provided that they do the effort to search a bit on the net, in the FAQ and previous threads of the Asylum. An inmate said once : "I prefer to learn you how to fish rather than giving you a fish". To which I may add : " provided that you searched the stream.". |

Just a bit of perspective from someone who picked up early from reading alot of posts here that there is a phenominal knowledge base to "search then ask" from, there are many young learners like myself that have googled a topic and landed here. Google yourself the term "menu rollover" and what is the first one that looks like a buncha nuts that are personable and would be willing to help someone out? number 2 on the list behind an ominous looking ssi developement link. I'm sure that DC, once inside the bottomless FAQ will learn that there even existed this resource and not soon return from it until all is understood about image rollovers. Its possible and probable the beginning search indeed landed them here. |
