Whenever i click the Dinosaur Adventure Land! (or, how the Creationists explain the Dinosaurs) topic from the first page it leads to a blank white page. Then I click the back button then I click the Philosophy & silliness forum and it takes me that same thread.

My IE version : 6.0.2800.1106
My OS: Win2k

Edit: I realised that the thread title is misleading it should really read "Strange Problem"..ya whaterver...

I can not replicate this, I don't have IE.

If I understand IE's behavior, or remember it correctly. IE likes to render the page after it has loaded all applicable elements, coupled with the fact that database access takes time after the page is requested, you might just be experiencing some load issues. It will take a while for the content to load.

Try turning off the "Full Thread" view.

The lag might be with some weird caching associated with this. Since the page didn't load in its entirety it wasn't able to complete the transaction with the web server, and when you return it has your data still saved as you attempting to contact the Dinosaur thread.

This is all just theory, based on the limited description, if you could do a little more testing on this, and let me know what the results are I might be able to give a better diagnosis.

I have tried with the 'display pagewise' turned on.
Never have seen that problem I had before again.
WM: It seems your theory is correct... Thank you!

Do you have a firewall?

I use Norton Internet Security with my phasers set to 'paranoid' (i.e- rather discriminate). Some pages can take a disliking to this and fail to load, some others load only partially.

If you do have a firewall, try switching it off momentarily while you load the page - if it loads successfully, you might want to consider adding the page to your 'trusted' list.

Alternatively, check your explorer's internet security settings. If these are set to 'custom' or higher than default, it may be that you are blocking an essential cookie, or disallowing a vital script.
