Good News Everyone,


in addition to its old feature set, ->SmartTab (see that link if you don't know what I'm talking about)
no also assigns the letters a-z to windows after it ran out of digits - this makes switching to windows you haven't used 'in a while' even easier.
No more hitting tab a gazillion times, or having to touch your mouse.

Feedback (and new color schemes) are always welcome!

Can you run processes in the "background"? In *nix you would append a "&" to cause it to run as a background process.

example: /some/path/SmartTab -flags &

Assuming you are running win9x or 2k/xp why not make a shortcut at the startuip folder with all the parameters you want.

Alright - a new version

-windows is now on top of other windows (always on top... even works with icq)
-Doesn't appear in the taskbar anymore while you're tabbing
-you can use '-transparency=' (somevalue between 0 (invisible) to 255 (not transparent) to make the window translucent - but it's a bit slow, you'll have to try it with your machine.

actually, it uses a pretty 'standard' windows window function to turn it transparent called SetLayeredWindowAttributes.

I'd imagine that IE uses that as well, but not the other way around.

Is it supposed to use 3.46 MB of RAM?

hm... it 'only' uses 2.008 mb on my machine - though of course that depends on the amount of open windows.
At that size, it's actually one of the least memory consuming process I see around... my blue tooth driver and some windows internals are below it,
though I might find a couple of ways to lower it's memory usage even more...

no... I gave it a name - which happens to work as an url as well.

load the newest version, and you'll see (you're free of course to keep your old copy around, if you really don't like it.)
