I have a little problem, nay, in fact I have two.

We will tackle them one by one in numerical order.

1. I don't know how to create a sig, the only opportunity I had was when I first registered but I didn't because I thought I could do it later. Does anyone know how to change it now?
2. I have no graphic sig. I realise some might not want to do this for someone they don't know, but could anyone create one for me please?
I don't really mind what it looks like, apart from that it should say AlterEgo on it.

Welcome to the Asylum, AlterEgo! Hope you've got a nice padded cell already... if not, hop on over to the FAQ and set one up. You'll find the link at the top of the page.

Answers to Questions (in numerical order)
1. You can always edit your profile to include a sig. Just use the [ IMG ] tag (no spaces) to link to your sig file. If you'll read up on sigs in the FAQ, you'll find some members willing to provide server space for sigs if you don't have it yourself.

2. Most inmates create their own sigs, it offers practice in the digital graphics arts, and an opportunity to try new things... We have a sig contest every month in the sig forum, and a couple of times we have had it where people make sigs for other inmates... if someone is very nice, they might make one for you...
But if you're into graphics, see what you can come up with on your own - you'll find the inmates here to be very helpful if you run into trouble. Take part in the sig contests and you may surprise yourself!

Thanks, I figured out how to change my signature and have thrown something basic together which should show at the bottom here unless I screwed it up. The best graphics program I have is Microsoft Paint (don't laugh) so it's not brilliant but its a start.

You need to upload your sig to a webhost so that you can link to it.

Right now we just get a red X because you are linking from your hard drive.

www.photobucket.com is a free imagehost that allows hotlinking, so you can use it to host your sig file for you. Once you get it uploaded to PhotoBucket, just use the URL in your sig and it should appear.

Does this work? I hosted it on ImageShack because PhotoBucket doesn't work for some reason.
As you can see I also added a dictionary definition above it.

Mas, I actually quite liked the black background, made it at least vaguely more interesting. But it doesn't matter because I've adopted outcydr's creation (cheers for that).
