I collect these, illusions and this one varies by color, check it out

I dont get the birdcage one... whats the illusion there?

stare at the red bird for 30 seconds then look at the cage and you'll see a cyan bird, stare at the green and then the cage, magenta bird, voila!

I thought on the birdcage one you stare at a bird and cross your eyes and it looks like the bird's inside the cage. Strange illusions, especially Slide11

I looked at your illusions and they all worked really well except the "pulsing" images. The strange thing is that when I look at the one referenced at the top of this thread, it works really well while I'm reading the text. the ones on your page don't seem to move for me at all.

I wonder if part of the illusion on the pulsing images is that you need to be moving your eyes for it to work. I tried to move my eyes back and forth on yours and the effect isn't as strong as when I'm looking at the other page and reading the text. I'm beginning to suspect that the effect is caused by micro-jerks in the eye as we try to move them smoothly across the page (as when reading).

it's not rotating.. I dont see anything moving.. static, no movement whatsoever.. its nothing but a piece of PNG image.. ha ha ha ha ha !!

hyperbole: my eyes are pretty sensitive (I can't use any lower than 75hz refresh rate) and I couldn't even read the text description, it instantly started moving. But that other link's effect was weaker for me too.
