This has been bugging me for a couple weeks now, and I don't seem to be any closer to fixing it now than I was when I started, so if anyone here can point me in the right direction, I'd be quite grateful.

I have a class, DrawingArea, that extends JPanel, which I add to a JScrollPane, which is in a JTabbedPane. The problem is that the scrollbars won't show up, even when the content of DrawingArea is outside the current viewport. I've tried using a JTextArea in place of DrawingArea and it works fine (same thing with a JPanel that has a large image added to it).

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
LF

The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.
Don't follow his example - seek real life help first.

Wowwww.... How'd I miss that? I flipped through that page when I first ran into the problem (since that seemed like the obvious place for the answer), then again before I posted here, and I looked right by that both times.

Thanks InI for the 'derrrr' answer
