Topic: Company CD (Page 1 of 1)

Hi All... I would like to make a CD for my company, i'm not really sure where to start.

What i would like is a CD with an interface, where u can select to install whats on the cd. Then i want an install interface where u can choose where to install it, i would like it to place a few icons on the desktop also.

Can anyone give me any tips on

a. Where to start/what i should look/google for?
b. What sort of programming is best (i have some experience with VB, c, java)
c. Any Tips

It all depends on *what* you want to install. There are many different installer programs around for Windows (this is for windows yeah?, Multi OS installers are another breed of beast all togther), some are free, some arent, but like most you get what you pay for. If you want some kind of eye popping multimedia toting installer then you'll either need to make it yourself or shell out for one that'll let you embed those kinds of elements into it.

If you're really keen to go all out you might want to look into some of the stardock software. Microsoft have used it before to create some of their more multimedia orientated installers (The mech warrior games from memory).
