Hey, I thought I would throw this out here incase any of you may be able to help. I can't seem to find a company that can do what I need. (short story) When my father was a young boy he loved to put together ed "big daddy" roth model kits (you know, the ones with the oversized monsters driving the undersized hot rods). He still enjoys putting them together and every once and I while I'll pick one up for his birthday or something. My father also loves his '77 corvette...

Anyways, I'm going to draw a picture of my old man and sort of "monsterize" him and stick him in a '77 corvette with the same style that ed roth has done. I'm looking for a company that can take my drawings and/or sculpture and make a nice little model kit out of it. That would be the ultimate christmas gift this year! (me and my syblings kind of compete each year for the best gift). I have had no luck finding this type of service... Any ideas?

Perhaps this may get you somewhere. Though, from what I understand, having someone create a die-cast mold for something such as a plastic model kit would be rather expensive. Generally only done so that companies can cast multiple copies for retail... I don't have any idea of the specifics of the whole thing, but I hope I helped anyways.
My father collects plastic soldiers, Nutty Mads, and has an entire shelf of those racer-kits you were talking about.
