Topic: Layout for PSPong

I want to submit a layout for the Asylums new project PSPong. Anyone know where I can submit?

I haven't made it yet just wanted to know if I, a Bipolar, can and whether not just somethin' for the Mad Scientists.

well, according to our admin log no one moved this thread...


anyhow, PsPong is not exactly a new project... it was nearly done and completed a couple of years back, but then kind of fell asleep because the design geeks (you know who you are) somehow couldn't implement their design into html...
later on, said layout was promised to me for my birthday, but apperantly they didn't mention which birthday.
Since then, I've periodically bugged ->Emperor about it, who bugged whomever, without joy.

So... I'm open for suggestions - and I guess somehow this is still my project, though I'm not it's formal leader. Maybe we should have another vote on that...

sorry templar, but we now have a complete and working layout. Not perfect yet, but very much there. See pspong.com?

Oh well, one thing though PSPong.com is just another forum... what's so specail about that? I have a suggestion if you'd like you could think it over.

Why not make it something like this (I don't know how to explain this exactly just try to match the pieces) the players start the game and get a designated page there only the players are allowed to post the serves. The comments could be seperate but the latest ones could be viewed on the page with the serves, for the entire thing it could be like located using an external link or something like that... weird but hey it's different!

I'm sorry, but you're rather mistaken.

PsPong is another grail, just like the Asylum. - which is a module based system that I'll turn into the real PsPong site.
For now, it offers us some features that are handy during development, but the final pspong site will probaly have neither a forum nor todolist.

The matches and volleys and so on still have to be adapted from the old beta code. Which I believe is in the todo list.

what? no forum? why not? all game sites have a forum! or will participants and viewers be able to post in the game thread?

of course there will be direct feedback on the games themselves, but I'm not sure a seperate 'forum' will be beneficial - and it's oh so common these days.

Seems to be a bug with firefox 1.0rc1's render of the page. The breadcrumbs don't have a break after them, so the whole internal layout is pushed out of frame to the right.

Definately a layout bug in Firefox 1.0... the content DIVs stretch waaaaay off the right side of the screen... including the page title and the two boxes below it... not pretty...

for the record, this - http://www.in-dented.com/pspong/index_test2.php - is the 'final' version of the work that I did, which was based on graphics and initial mark-up by others (I don't recall the details). The concept for the layout was started by DG, and then Micheal, Weadah, and others played around.

I have offered my help in carrying the layout over to the existing back-end framework, but time has been very limited for me on this front.

If there are people with time and ability willing to help out, by all means...
