Topic awaiting preservation: MY IIS has stopped and WON't START (Page 1 of 1)

I dunno whats gotten into my IIS. Its stopped for no reason and whenever I try to turn it on or restart it I get a stupid message saying "Address already in use". WHats he talking about? The systems IP address cos if its that then I've changed the address about a hundred times and IIS Still won't start.

What do I do guys!

well... it could be that the port is already in use.
You restarted the machine, right?

...yep. That error message means something is already using port 80.

Indeed...count yoursaelf lucky that it won't start. That way it's gaping security holes won't come into play on your system. And yes, I'm jumpin' on the bandwagon...get apache.
