Cocoon's demos are extremely buggy. Most of their demos never worked on my various computers and the computers of my friends/family. Among their prods Shad 2 worked once or twice. All their other prods crashed while loading or in the middle. I've met Guile and Nytrik several times since ~95 and respect their work, but damn, I'm really pissed of by their incompatibility problems. Whenever Guile buy a new beast of a computer he releases a prod ... that work only on his own computer |

quote: You're a "lucky" man. I thought you knew that Guile had to use his own computer several times to show his prods in a demo compo due to imcompability problems. Have you read the comments about Raw Confession ? I'm not the only pal who had troubles to get it working. quote: I know you're teasing me. But don't you think the chances that I didn't found a single computer/person able to run any of their prods like a charm during the last 6 years are extremely slim ? I've had several computers during this period, and never kept a GPU or CPU more than 2years. OSS are less bloated and vulnerables ( due to their extremely tight bugfixing timeline and the fact that they share common libraries ) than closed source softwares. |
