it worked one day but not the next. not sure what happened except the note said TRILLIAN caused an error in IRC.dll ? several retries and one reinstall later, same message |

When you reinstalled it did you delete (or move) your old trillian folder? Uninstalling usually doesn't delete a lot of program files that may be causing the problem. |

You might want to try a reinstall after you clean up your registry. I've used trillian pro for a couple years now and haven't had trouble with it. Very strange problem. |

cleaned up the registry and reinstalled. everything working now, except none of my asylum "buddies" made it through the reinstall. thanks for the suggestions everyone |

I've used Trillian for quite a while now, it works OK, but the big drawback with the free version is that I've never been able to send or receive files as WebShaman mentions. So I use msn messenger (6.2 version) for that. CHATzilla looks interesting, may give it a whirl. |
