I was just curious if anyone here uses Netflix or a similar service. A few buddies & myself signed up for their trial membership today. The first of our movies should be shipped out soon. I doubt I'll be continuing with it. I don't rent a whole lot of movies anymore & Blockbuster has a similar deal except I don't have to wait around for my movies to be delievered.

So if any of you guys have used this or similar services, what do you think?

Absolutely love it. I love the fact I can log on and add something to my queue anytime I think of it. And I rarely find myself waiting for something since I can have 3 out at any one time and it usually only takes about 3 days to get one after I drop one in the mail.

Plus, it actually encourages me to watch more movies -- which I want -- since it's effectively cheaper the more I watch in a month.

In fact, I'll be watching Eternal Sunspot of the Shoeshine Mind or whatever it's called as I eat my lasagna this evening.

Netflix is popular in our house too. Pretty impressive organization. Very fast (1-2 day) turn around. And a wider range of titles than most local stores - Masterpiece Theater titles for instance.

I've put Netflix in force at the Mabry house since we ditched cable tv and my wife is a movie junkie

We've liked it a lot, works as advertised.

I started my two week free trial last night. Hopefully I'll enjoy it as much as you guys. I'm glad to hear its a good service. The only thing I like about Blockbuster is I have a few friends that work there who erase my fees from time to time. I guess with Netflix I won't have to worry about that though.

Ahh, reminds me of the good old days of kozmo.com

Imagine, if you will, 6 DVDs, 2 tubs of ice cream, microwave popcorn, 6-pack of soda, 2 *cough*nudge*wink* special DVDs, 3 Playstation2 games, Oreos, and a packet of Kool cigarettes delivered within an hour. At 3am. To your doorstep. And the drop-off box for rentals is across the street at Starbucks.

*wipes tear* I was truly saddened when they had to close shop. The only reason to leave my apartment was for little things like going to work. ~sigh~
