I'm doing a bonus assignment for one of my classes. One of the requirements is that the title graphic is created with an online applet. Something like this. Anyone here know of some more unique, cool, or powerful ones that I could use instead?

How about writing your own applet ? I'm extremely new to Java, so I don't know how to use TrueType fonts, but using a bitmap fonts, it should be easy to generate some titles.

Do you have to use a Java applet, or can you also use a PHP script using GD ? PHP and GD are a bit easier to use and output some "real" images.

Well I have to get it done in just a couple o' days so writing my own applet is not an option for me. I'd love to use InI's, but I couldn't find it on his site either
