Hi New to this forum....

Im having a stupid problem

www.beastmasterpromotions.com/problem.html

In IE the surounding grey box is extended to about twice the height, in mozilla it displays properly.

The grey box is meant to fit snugly around the other elements with about a 10px border.
The CSS is inline at the moment, but will be moved externally once it works..

Guess what i actually manged to fix it myself.... Still trying to get the hand of relative and absolute positioning, and where to use each or not.

I will post a link to my solved page tomorrow.

My view: forget all about absloute positioning.

It has its uses, of course. But for the vast majority of layout situations, it just becomes problematic.

fyi:
if you change "overflow:scroll;" to "overflow:auto;" you'll eliminate that bothersome horizontal scrollbar (as well as the vertical one, until it's called into action due to an overflow of content)
