I was watching a show about this the other day. Not about this particular development, but about the technology in general. Apparently the show is a bit dated as it wasn't quite as far along.

Maybe in a few years the riggers of ShadowRun will be real. Jack into your car and drive like a maniac with thought alone.

Wow that is scary. Good in the right hands, but scary in the wrong. I watched a movie abouts something with this theme. It was about the anti-christ controlling people with brain chips. Very scary, and it looks like it can become very true.

That's fascinating! Go science

Thanks for the heads up, I'm going to have to explore this more. What a tremendous boon this could possibly be for many disabled people.

Wow, talk about a fantastic device. And eventually, I assume, it'll teach the disabled to be able to use 2 methods of thinking: one for what they want to happen, and one for ordinary thought.

Yeah, VeriChip is the mark of Lucifer and the end is coming.
I tend to stay away from people that actually believe in such things.

Yeah, good for the infirm.
However, my thoughts on application are a bit different.

Imagine having something like this during surgery.
Especially if combined with 'augmented reality' - which is cool in itself.
Some mechanics have been testing augmented reality and productivity has increased tremenduously.
Instead of a car, a human body with mind controlled tools.

My personal fantasy would be in the home with various robots with tactile/visual feedback.
One thing the brain excedes in is parallel processing.
If you were wired to several robots, then multi-tasking would take on a whole new meaning.
There is a scene in 'Meet Joe Black' were Death talks about this.

I have to go squish the kids.

Hey, I didn't say that I believed it, just that it is a very strange coincidence. Don't get me wrong. I get kinda nerdy sometimes and love to read about things like this.

That to me says that you are a believer to some extent.

But it's this kind of petty bantering that largely keeps me out of such things.
I don't care much for arguing semantics, memes, non-sequiturs, context and things. Just plain silly and a waste of time.

I'm cool.
You cool?
Cool.

This whole brain chip seems a little weird. But maybe it could be of good use. If the right person uses it. Certainly not everyone should use this.

I seen a show one night a few months or so ago. Not really sure when, or what show it was. Very late a night. Anyways they were talking about inserting chips into peoples arms. They said that they would start with childern, and that it would help the Amber Alert system. It would tell you where the person is at all times. And it could also tell about your heart rate and what not. If I remember correctly there was also a watch that came with this chip. And that displayed all the information. There was also one family I do believe that actually had this done.
