I was wondering, if you have a php script that u point to with your browser - it has a lot of number crunching to do server side, but is not outputting anything to the browser.

If you close your browser, will the script instantly stop? Or will it keep going until its done and determines that it doesnt have a browser to output too.

Thanks

A wrong use of php might cause an unending loop on the server site. Your site might be banned by your host for abusing the server resources.
