Lousy clouds got in the way of most of the lunar eclipse last night, but I did manage to pop off a few fairly decent shots. Not too bad for my first attempt at astrophotography. |

A lot better than my pics, which were more like.. nothing. Just black cause the camera couldn't see the moon and I didn't know how to configure the settings to fix it. |

Thanks, guys. I'm still surprised they came out as well as they did. Focusing was a bit of a problem, since it had to be done with the scope and the 10D's focusing screen isn't very helpful with manual focusing. It was basically turning the focus knob back and forth until I could judge where the middle between back focus and front focus was. |

Nice photos Wes. I think the Celestron 4GT is one of those you can programme to automatically select a "target" from a database of thousands, is it not? |
