Hello,

I have a basic question, and was wondering if someone could answer it. Basically i am making a site with multiple iFrames. There is a different html document opening up in each one. I was wondering if there is any way to be able to focus on a part of the document, as in like the middle of the page, so I would not need to scroll to the part that i need? Because the iFrames are small, i need to scroll quite a lot to get to the part i need in every page. I am using the site quite a lot, so i waste a lot of my time just scrolling. I would be very glad if someone could tell me if this can be done, and if possible give me a sample script. Thank you all in advance.

You should be able to use anchors to position the iFrames as they load, I did a google for anchors and this is the first result that came up, it's also a pretty good example, read through and tell us how you get along.

The problem with anchors is that the site that is opening in each one of the iFrames is not made by me, so i cannot place anchors in it. To see what I mean, go to this site that I just put together in 2 minutes to show you what I mean.

Test site

I don't know maybe i didnt research anchors enough, but what i've seen mainly is that they have to be placed in the html page itself.

Ah ok, well in that case I'm not sure there's anything you can do.

However if you want, you can create your own boxes for searching google and yahoo, just copy the google page and it will have all the form information etc that you need, and you can edit the design of the page to look how you like.

Oh well thanks for the info. I guess i'll just have to make all the iFrames full screen, cuz what i use my site for, is checking different parts of a certain site to see if an object i needed has showed up yet. Its a text based rpg site, and i need to be able to check if a certain person has showed up in a a part of the site, and there are 72 different spots h can show up in, so thats what i was trying to do, but if it isn't possible, then o well. But thats for submitting your info anyways.
