Participated in a Pub Crawl for Cancer yesterday because I'm such a charitable guy.
A team of 10 people + 5 bars + 4 pitchers/bar = Ugh
Plus, 2 hours of after party where beer was free. Ouch.
But when I'm not drinking ridiculously large quantities, I'll take a Modelo Dark or Heffeweissen.

but when I drink, it's Aristocrat Vodka with a Smirnoff Twisted5 Green Apple chaser
Greenhill Alabama Toadie Frog - mix 1 part vodka with 2 parts mountain dew and 1 pack tropical punch Kool-Aid
shake (but not too much) and enjoy

A nice, cold Jever...yummy! Though in summer, when it is hot, a nice cold Erdinger (hefeweissen) is very, very good!!
Germany has around 5000 different recognized Breweries...I've been here for 10 years, and I'm not even halfway through yet.

What is wrong with you ppl.. beer, disgusting?! That disgusts me! :O
you need to get a mouthfull of good ale down your neck, it's an aquired taste much like drinking red wine, but oh so rewarding, plus it doesn't mess you up with dodgy chemicals like lager does!
I used to be a big Spitfire man, but these days it's a London Pride or a Guiness.

Beer is never meant to be drunk at room temperature.
A good ale (yes, inclduing those made by the 'brits') should be served at about cellar temperature - which is considerably cooler than room temperature.
Any beer - lager or ale - should not be served so cold that you can't taste it.
And, of course, as norm said - it's all chemicals of one sort or another

mmmm, beer...
My latest favorite is Youngs Double Chocolate Stout. Goes great with a cigar.
Other than that (if we talk strange beers) I like the Aect Schenkelra Rauchbier. You won't need a snack to accompany that one...
Only beer I've never liked is Moosehead.. Bad tasting rainwater in my book..
While on the topic, they've finally introduced this years christmas brews over here. Mighty tasty!

I don't really drink much at all these days. Seems that after I hit 21 the drinking wasn't as much fun. But there are times when I like to get my buzz on and on those occations I like to go with Yuengling. Really like all of them but my fav would have to be either the black and tan or the lord chesterfield one.

I'll take one of several choice beers:
Guinness, Boddington's Pub Ale, Beck's, or in a money pinch: Yeungling.
The only liquor you'll catch me drinking is Wild Turkey...

Also, for the record - the reinheitsgebot has much more to do with the selling of beer. It set price limitations and defined penalties and the like.
It *does* mention what ingredients may be used, but that part is almost a footnote.

I drunk in an informal function. My parents' friend bought it. First I drunk just a glass then, I took my mom's glass 'cos she wasn't drinking it. It was nice.
