Topic awaiting preservation: Seasonal Sigs (Page 1 of 2)

This is the season for it, graphical representations, that is
I think I have seen one around already, was it poi, or mas, or perhaps it was Ezra-D, I can't remember just now.
Here is my falling snow effort, I will try to add updates or variations later. Have you made any yet? I'd lurve to see them

Must be my memory I don't remember seeing either DL's or your sig Jung. Nice work though, the hat on the fullstop is genius and candy strip 3D text is going on my todo list.
Atm I'm trying to get a good reflective glass sphere jobbie going, the hanging on a christmas tree kind. Got the glassy sphere look but it's not reflective enough yet.
This is what I've got so far. I still need to add a hook at the top so I'll need to get a brushed steel look there perhaps?

Slight update on the first one.

Ah, I thought I'd seen one from you Ezra. I do like that ^ one, as I tend to like all of the sigs I've seen you do over the year/s.

Thought I'd jump on the bandwagon:

The bells the bells! I like that Spellbinder, I like the feel of text in front of the animated bells. It would be brilliant if you could do a bit more work on the bells, they are a bit cut off at the top. If that is where the file ends you could open up the .psd and just increase the canvas size to include the very top of the bells or even get rid or reduce the beige outline or change the colour to something darker. Then while you are there pehaps deepen/darken the colour of the bells as well.
They are my initial thoughts fwiw but I do like it. May even try a version myself if you don't mind?

Silence, I really like yours. The 3D effect is subtle, but it really works well.

Tao, is that supposed to be colored tin foil? I love the texture.. and the creepy idea of having a hand in one's christmas tree.

I guess I'll declare this sig 'seasonal', then.

Ok made some changes.
Hope i got the right matte though.
I lowered the bells and put a pipe up on top for them to hang on.
Dont know how it will turn up in here.
I also moved both inwards.
And some other stuff that i got advice about.



I hope it aint to much to ask to try the other bgr since im starting to learn about avarage.

Spellbinder, I like the one with the line across the top, just lose the line and it should work great. I also like the bells with the outline better, but that's just me.

I get both, one says drop the outline and another one get them back
Well i kind of compromised then.
Dropped the bar/pipe, put a bit of outline on them but not as much.

I also overdid a couple but it was fun, and would probably work if some one who knew what they where doing did it.
I wont post them because it probably drain your bandwitdht.

Yeah i knd of like them also, although i think it would be hard to make them NOT so cut off/rectangular.
The only thing i could think of was to frame it witha wooden window os something.
In any way i apreciate your offer, but im not going to be online 24/7 like this in the near future.

I will however keep practising with photoshop.
If i work on this anymore i dont know today, the future will tell.

Nice work Spellbinder, it does look a little odd (the bells) without any outline now that I see it. I think you got the balance right in the end, with just a little outline as that also eliminates the bells looking as if they have been cut as they reach the top of their swing, so you did not need the bar at the top once that had been done
I hope you will still be regular here, even if it's not 24/7

Yes i will still be regular.
I have bben since 2002 i think.
its just when im not online like this, i have a hard time to upload stuff and such.
But i can still learn from here and share ideas about graphix.
