like i said, just another night without sleep. took me 2 hrs. photoshop - textured brushes. crtics are welcome.

Nice. It may even look better with the text in black too.
How have you done the background ?

Armen: Nice work again - I would follow poi' advice about the colour but I'd also recommend looking into using a different font as it might add a little extra something.

C&C: it's too cluttered; the composition looks awkward because too many elements (specifically the white/black) clash together in too tight a a space. Also, some of your coloring is a little muddy. I think with sharper, more pronounced lighting and higher contrast, the emotion conveyed in the image could carry over better to the painting.

I like the idea, but the execution could be improved.

the background was made with buncha textured brushes, i downloaded most of them. i dont remember the website. and the ones i made my self were a combinition of blood textures and fingerprints and scratches on metal surfaces.
ok - i'll play with the font and the color see what i get. thanks poi & emperor.

yes cfb, i agree with the lack of combosition. i tried to express a feel of regret and maddness followed by distress inside, because he killed a guy with a bat and now he regretes it. i guess i'll have to study some combosition rules. thank u cfb.

ok - did a quick correction---hopefully it's right.

Oooh, that looks much better, methinks. The only suggestions I have are maybe a tighter crop on the right side (to uncenter the image) and a stronger shadow of the man.

and wouldn't the bat reflect light less at the top if it's smeered in blood? just my 0.0002 cents.

I think it looks great.
I dont know much however, but either way for my eyes it does good.
I have a perhaps stupid idea but i would like to see that with burned edges.
It might be an old poster in some US city outside a theater.

Any way i like it.
