So I have this friend with a shiny new ipod and an ancient laptop which is so slow she can barely use it. Anyway I sent her a bunch of MP3s on CD, and she's got access to her roomates computer. Now does she have to use iTunes on the computer? Or is there some simpler method (like drag and drop) to get the MP3s over there.?

Thanks

Afaik, iTunes is the way to go for easy use.

You should know though that the iPod autosyncs with one itunes installation only.
I set it up at my work PC, loaded a couple of albums, then as I got home I hoocked it into my mac and the iPod asked me if I wanted to erase what it had in memory and start syncing with that computer instead.

Some sort of distribution prevention method.

You can set up the itunes to use the iPod in harddisk mode as well to drag 'n drop things, havn't tried it though.

I just got my Ipod Mini so I don't really have any hands-on experiences, but I heard good things about Ephpod

http://www.ephpod.com/

If I remember correctly from another forum, ephpod lets you use the ipod with multiple computers (Windows)

You can find a ton of programs on:
