Top part looks like it's artificial waves or something...They got rithm, which they shouldn't i guess, or not so obvious, cos repetiton would cause that anyway...
Bottom part looks nice,i like the refractions...

Curiously yours, crip

I did something like this ages ago but only remembered after I posted so did not look up the thread for you I think it was called reflections and I started the thread as Taobaybee, in case you want to search.
I like it, perhaps fade the reflection a tad from the bottom upwards gradually. Aslo you could skew or put a slight perspective on the reflection as well?

The link is Water ReflecTao?

Scroll down to zipper's post, great stuff. The part you want to work on is the perspective bit.

Also, lower the opacity on the reflection layer as well as blurring it like hyperbole says will definitely improve the effect.

Brilliant, thanks silence I'll make a note of the link for future ref:

This was the end result of that particular thread for me. What I did not do in this, and I think you haven't in yours, is to do a Perspective Transform on the displacement map. Doing this increases the wave size towards the bottom of the gif and looks really quite good. If I find an example I'll post it up.
