Anyone here knows my thoughts and opinions of this idiot. Looks like others are slowly starting to realize this, as well. Even those within his own "staunch" circle of supporters - Iraq fears put pressure on Rumsfeld to quit

Why Mr. Bush holds on to this incompetent buffoon, is anyone's guess.

I can only hope that the pressure continues to build, until his train leaves town.

Rumsfeld has always been portrayed in the Guardian Weekly as a "voice of moderation" about Iraq (and I believe this newspaper to be objective). Perhaps that's why Republicans want him to leave ? Nonetheless I guess I don't get as much information about him as you do, perhaps I'm wrong.

Anyway, I don't think Rumsfeld is the one to blame ; but rather the president who ordered this war. You know, leaders, when put in an uneasy situation because of a bad choice, always tend to blame their subordinates for incompetency, but they are the real guilty person.

You have got to be joking! Don't you mean Colin Powell? If Rumsfeld is a voice of moderation, then Mr. Bush is the Pope.

Mr. Rumsfeld is as incompetent as one can get, as Secretary of Defense. Throw chances, lives, and material away, without having a clue as to why. If he was the CEO of a company, he would already of been fired a long time ago. And yes, the Secretary of Defense is the one to blame.

This of course doesn't excuse Mr. Bush.

Indeed I meant Colin Powell... I was tired yesterday evening, I guess I mixed Secretary of State and Secretary of Defense (without even noticing that Powell has left the government) - apologies for the post above.
