Make a clean selection of the head and copy it. Use the marquee tools or the pen tool.

My favourite method:

Copy the picture of the Statue.

Paste it in a new layer over the picture of your buddy.

Now click your Quick Mask button

Invert your Quick Mask (to hide your layer) by pressing Ctrl + i or Cmd + i (Mac users)

Take a white brush and paint on your Quick Mask to reveal as much of the statue as you want.

Keep in mind that Quick Masks use shades of grey...so the lighter the selection, the more transparent the mask. White shows all, black hides all. Blend as you see fit.

Learn your Quick Masks...Love your Quick Masks.
