I just installed GD on my server to try and give this a go myself, but didn't have as much luck so far...

The script I'm using is more or less the one found here:
http://www.minifonts.com/dynamictext.html

Initially, it would complain about not finding the font, but I copied it to /usr/share/fonts and that seems to be fixed.

What I'm getting now is The image ?...? cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

I already changed imagegif() from the original script to imagepng(), but that didn't help. Any idea what else I'm doing wrong there? Would you mind sharing the source of your script, InI?

Thanks for sharing the source InI! I've actuly tried this before and failed, I never really bothered to get it working though. This should give a jumpstart for a project I've been wanting to get fonts into!

I'm going to credit you in the source, not that anyone is going to look at it besides me, but to remind me where I got it from and keep me from bragging that I made it.

Nice, InI. Looks like you went through a lot of what I went through when I was doing my fortune cookie sig. The font path thing had me stumped for a while--the manual says that you can use a relative path, after all. Then I pretty much stumbled onto the solution you mentioned above, except I didn't use realpath (didn't know about it at the time, since I was pretty much teaching myself PHP as I went along). I think I may have to go jigger the GD tut at the GN to use that function...

You learn something new every day, as they say.
