Snazzy! Simple & clean, that's how I like it. You could add all kinds of math data on the side (like the numbers of the coordinates you're plotting to, and silly calculations that mean nothing whatsoever) but this also has it's charm.

that is very cool MS ![](http://www.ozoneasylum.com/images/layouts/ozoneasylum/slimies/smile.gif)
I like the idea mahjqa has, maybe do a M:X,Y - xxx,xxx S:X,Y - xxx,xxx
of course, I like it how it is. if you don't get the time to do anything else to it, it's still neat

Pretty cool. I'd consider making a smooth transition from the end to the beginning of the animation, rather than a cut; you could undo the drawing the same way you did it, or maybe fade it out.

Well, in my opinion adding the coordinates would be quite painful (I would have to draw them by hand on 45+ frames)... Therefore I think I'll skip this part, sorry. However, I added the fade out (the image above is updated).
Thank you Mahjqa, IXI and Slime for your comments and advises ![](http://www.ozoneasylum.com/images/layouts/ozoneasylum/slimies/smile.gif)

wow, MS this sig is awesome. well, my only suggestion has already been made by mahjqa. i would go crazy for the coordinates ![](http://www.ozoneasylum.com/images/layouts/ozoneasylum/slimies/wink.gif)
btw maybe you should shrink it down? just a little bit? GREAT JOB!

If I remember, Maple is quite versatile in it's output and programming options. Can't you let the program do the dirty work?

other than that, you could technically use software like Flash to print out the coordinates in a textfield and render them to transparent files which you can then overlay in ImageReady.
if you are interested, i can help you if you want.

Maple could output the value of the parameter t, but as far as I know it won't output the x and y coordinates.
I don't know anything about flash, therefore I was thinking about creating a PHP function that would output the coordinates to a PNG file using GD. I would loop the function and all the coordinates would be created. Problem is, considering the size of the image, I don't know any font that would be readable. The solution could be to draw the lines representing the numbers from 0 to 9 within the function... Eg a 3 would be an association of three horizontal lines and a vertical one. Hmmm...
It's an interesting problem ![](http://www.ozoneasylum.com/images/layouts/ozoneasylum/slimies/smile.gif)
I'll try to solve it during the week, I'll post what I have done next week-end.

or you could create a little image with all the characters you need and paste some parts of it on the fly to build the strings in your final image

mahjqa created a pixelfont once. im pretty sure you could use that one.
personally, i still like this flash solution. i might give it a try tomorrow. ![](http://www.ozoneasylum.com/images/layouts/ozoneasylum/slimies/wink.gif)

Yup, here's the font... smallest I could get it while keeping it legible.
And the very old version (letter and numbers in 3*3 pixels)

^^ Updated the image
Ahhhhh Mahjqa, this is too bad, I left home on Sunday evening, and I came back yesterday, I haven't seen your post. I could have used your font.
During the week I coded a PHP script to add the coordinates on the images. It first opens the png file, then calculates all the digits to display and finally outputs the lines representing them at the right place. I copied all the images in IR and saved the file... To notice that its size jumped to 111kb. Saving it with eight colors reduced the size to 85kb, but I can't do much. I'm stuck at this point ; I'll see if I can lighten the file some more, it is really big currently.

MS, not that I'm in any way qualified to comment on the technical aspects of making the sig but, me being a semi retired surveyor, with the co-ords added - it's just brilliant ![](http://www.ozoneasylum.com/images/layouts/ozoneasylum/slimies/biggrin.gif)
