I got this in the mail, fw: fw: fw... you know the story.
I thought the pics where great. Seeing the first one i said: Photoshoped...That blur looked intentional, cover up the traces...But i looked over all. Some of them look very real..What do you think? Could someone be builing/tweaking real cars like this?

well done, but fakes all the same (whether simply photo-chopped, 3d modeled, toys photoshopped, etc...)

IMO

^I can't shake the feeling, that they are fakes, as well. I looked all over, trying to find "real" pics of the minis, to no avail. Only models of the Minis were findable.

So, some of them are really well done. One in particular is poorly done, and easy to pick out as a 3D construct.

So you're saying this just cos you thing they don't really exist. Ok, i agree, i don't believe either. i mean i could go for one, but i don't think they'd make ferraris, porsches, bmw's, etc... the idea was if someone could point out a mistake, something, cos i've looked and i find nothing and i'm curious if a PS fake can be that good....

Actually this is what i came up with in 30 minutes. It's not by far as good as the others i got in mail, but consiodering time, the drawing/different colors in the original, it came out almost ok

fake (really, it's fake LOL) http://cripkd.ker.ro/mini.jpg

Hehe. After lookig at it for 2 minutes, it's an awfull atempt, but trying to do one made me know what to look for on the others, i'm amazed how many things i could point out now that i didn't see before, so yes, they are fake :P

Good for you Well, i felt they were fakes and yes, they look un-natural but so do a few of the real cars
That silver porsche near the cement wall looks almost perfect. Aside from the blurry shadows near it's head and tail i see nothing wrong...You?

I don't have time to go through each image at the moment, but it is very clear in some of those photos that the scenery is set to look like the car is moving, but the car is obviously not moving.

Blending smooth surfaces like that together, or finding photos of models, or using 3D models, and slapping them over a background is not a very difficult thing to do...
