Just read a newsletter here in sweden,
Opera 8 will come with voice control, a webreader, adaptive width control for wide pages, RSS newsfeed reader, support for XMLHttpRequest and probably more...

some badly needed stuff (xmlhttp - although the last beta was still missing one function necessary for posting (header setting)),
some interesting stuff (width control),
and something that seems bloody useless, but might be cool (voice control).

we shall wait and see... I personally hope, I'll be able to use opera on our future intranets - these make heavy use of xmlhttp...

im using the beta of opera already quite for a while and i can only say it kicks ass!
its just so convenient and comfortable and most important of all, its damn fast.
no need for firefox anymore.

Don't worry, all the good FF creators have been snapped up by Google, for their new browser...

I suspect that may have a negative impact on FF. But hopefully, the Google Browser will be the non-plus ultra of browsers...

If you want a fast alternative browser get K-Meleon v0.9. It is a pure Win32-based (No XUL) version of Mozilla. IMHO it is much faster than Opera 8.0b.
