Topic awaiting preservation: PHP script question,..need a search that has a drop down that... (Page 1 of 1)

Hello, new here and hope someone can help. I use php for forms and trying to learn more but I have an immediate need.

Actually, I have a client with a site I installed fastFindPhp on to search. They would like a drop down next to the input box with catagories, like price, catagory of art (its an art site), Search by name, etc.

Question is, can it be modified to do this, do I need a new script? Does anyone have such a script or know what I mean? I am willing to modify the one I have, I just do better with some examples to look at.

obviously the script can be modified to do what you want.
Will it be easy? I don't know.
You did not even provide a link to your script - and life's too short for me to google for it.

What you likely need to do is extend the search form with the drop down,
and adjust the search in a way to reflect the choice made.
Easy if it's via a sql query and a categoryid, but impossible to say without knowing how your tables
are set up.
Hard if you don't have the classification of pages before hand.
