Tiny Animals Dominate Deep-Sea Trenches - Report

Wow, pretty fascinating! That is really deep. The pressure must be incredible. What I find to be most interesting is this part :

Now, it would seem that this new foraminifera belongs in the same lineage of a species that appears to be very flexible and an incredible survivor and one that has populated some rather extremely different environments. But my question goes to all those YECs out there - how do you explain this? 20,000 years is not enough time for this species to spread out and adapt to the diverse environments where one finds this species. Or is DNA science also wrong?

I mean, first in salt water, in fresh water, on land, and now 35,000 feet deep. And with a soft body, not with a shell. And it seems to be a primitive version, suggesting that maybe it came first.

I've just been listening to a programme on the BBC which covered a little of this WebShamen. There is a link on The Material World website where you can listen to the programme again for a short period (you need to have RealPlayer though).
I think this adds greatly to the postulation of life on other planets perhaps deep underground getting energy from geological sources.
I wish I could write more but atm I am on drastically limited computer time so I can only add the odd comment here and there.

Why is it surprising that these little guys can evolve so fast? They're one-celled, I don't imagine it takes a very long time for them to replicate and start displacing one another into deeper parts of the ocean, where only the deviations in their species that have the right genetics will be able to survive, where the process starts again. Of course, I don't know about fresh water and salt water, but.. 20,000 years is a pretty effin' long time on the timeline for an amoeba. How many of the cells in your body die and grow every day?

I have to hand it to you Webshaman. You have found some great evidence for the evolutionist theory. If the lineage of these amazing creatures is true then couldn't it be assumed that we now know almost for certain that some creature did come out of 'a primordial ooze of some sort' and evolve?

God put them there 6,000 years ago and then gave them attributes that only make it look like they've been around for 6-9 million years!

Actually I have been TRYING (I realize i have been unsuccessful) to keep out of the evolution vs. creation threads as much as possible. I see no point in them.

Good point Xel. That is also apparent in many viruses in Hospitals too. They change so quickly that new medication is hardly keeping up.

Hey Briggl, whoever said that to you is wrong. God does not like to decieve people. He is straight forward and loving. The last thing He wants to do is confuse us stupid humans (and most of us are pretty stupid, you will agree with me on this one...). Some people who don't like to get their hands dirty just say that in order to push the questions off. It is, in a sense, a cop-out.

ohh and maybe you could try to type in more rational content sometimes? Because 98% of stuff you post is basically preaching about bible and you yourself are speaking for your deity. I dunno man, but most of people here are familiar with basic concept of your belief, you do not have to constantly bring it up, beside your illogical way of thinking gets annoying real fast.
