I just recently got Flash MX 2004 Professional, and i've taken notice of the scrollbar component.

I drag it into the stage, and i've got my movie clip all set up and ready to go. Everything on the movie clip is named, without quotes, "thumbnails_mc" The instance, linkage (exported for actionscript), and name are all set to "thumbnails_mc." However, when i type "thumbnails_mc" into the contentPath line of the 'parameters' window, and test my movie, it doesnt show. So now i've accepted that its ME doing something wrong, so i'd be honored if someone would guide me.

You might need to assign a linkage value to your targeted movieclip by right clicking on it in the library and choosing "linkage". Give it the same name that you used for the instance name of the MC on the stage. Just guessing, hope this helps!
