I'd say its fake, they could get into a bit of trouble over that, and it wouldnt be rated "High" even if MS were so evil to try claim firefox as spyware. But I dont know, I dont use that anti spyware thing. Although I did want to when I heard it removed IE.

JKMabry: What!!! I read something about IE6 + XPsp2 blocking download from mozilla.org but didn't believed that. MS will get no sympathy with such practices.

Much more likely that they're on the traditional crusade of making MS look evil. Or maybe they're just trying to be funny. =)

And I'd believe the latter, rather than the former from Slime's statements, for it is funny, after all

When a download of a program is automatically started, IE will block ANYTHING, regardless where it's from. This way, unsafe spyware programs won't slip under the radar so easily. If you click the warning, you can continue downloading.

mahjqa ?! It's been a while.
Thank you for that precision. I'm (still) on W2K, so like 50% of the windows users I'm not familliar with all the specific IE6 XPsp2 security features. Not to mention that I use IE ~1 time a week.
