upper right is a new customization feature that will allow you too rearrange or delete exisiting sections as well as add your own custom news queries to the page and left navigation. Very cool.

At the exception of the custom news queries, such customizing have been available on various websites ( msn, yahoo!, ... ) for ages. But indeed the custom news queries can be very handy. I wonder how much time it'll take to be torn appart and various hacks appear.

google news is now called "soccer central" on this computer

ooh, very cool...JK, any way you can share a custom layout or at least let me know what you set up for 'soccer central'?

been playing with it but haven't quite gotten all the news i want yet...

"Add a standard section" then do UK/Sport stories: 9! (of course)

that'll get you a fair amount of footy news

"Add a custom section" keyword "Soccer" stories: 9! (of course)

that'll get you a fair amount of soccer news

then drag and drop rearrange to get all the goods above the fold!

Haven't messed with it a whole lot but using the "custom section" feature you could get quite specific if you like. Now If I can just remember to not clear me cookies =\

Now if they would only add the Google Suggest feature, that would make this the best.
