Dunno if anyone cares, but I want to show off anyway

I now work as tech project manager / senior developer for the company that builds and maintains Pokerroom.com
Me and a bunch of other guys just rebuilt the community there from scratch, no prebuilt community code at all.

I've been deeply involved in the design architecture of this, 100% PHP/MySQL, all OOP, 4 tiered design built to take a lot of load... one month planning & system-design,2 solid months of development, a massive admin section for the community and much more.

We launched it yesterday and it's been behaving really good so far
There are things with the output html, we know, but it's a part within a large templating structure so we could only lift the community section to mostly-css. In time things like that will be adressed.

anyways, here it is http://www.pokerroom.com/pokah/

Cheers/Dan

Yup!
It's so nice on the db and webservers it's scary...
An example, over 100 selects/second on average with a few peaks about 3 times that and the db is just purring like a satisfied cat

DMS: I had no clue that you were with that project! I am a member there... Usually on playing Hold'em. I would like to say nice work on the site!

Wow...small world.

I lurk both here and there! :-)

Seriously though, I frequent "Pokah" more often now that it doesn't have the ridiculously bad layout that it used to. It's sooooooo much nicer now. Great work.

Cool, more Pokerheads!
Thanx for the nice comments

Wolfen, Chesta: Yup, I've been there since june last year, I started with building the shop together with another guy, then a lot of under the hood stuff, then Pokah.
As soon as we get rid of the obvious small bugs that any new release has I'll pop over to the next project

Grumble, nope, no ripoff
