What are your favourite FF extensions.
(other than the really common ones like adblock)

Two of mine:
1) Nuke Anything
2) Scrapbook

Thanks for the ChromEdit...i thought it was for chromeless..but it turns out to be pretty handy.

edit: which brings out another point - without sifting thru lines and lines of code, which tweaks are really worth pursuing?

i've become dependent on the all-in-one gestures extension, which is a very bad thing. put me on a clean, extensionless install of FF (or just plain old IE), and i have no idea what i'm doing.

tinyurl creator is great if you're a compulsive link-emailer, like me.

ieview is a great tool for developers - right click a link, or a page, and it'll open that URL in IE.

webdev toolbar is also amazing, as is adblock. getting full use out of adblock just totally changes your browsing experience. for example, adblock the url adserver.*, and you won't even know what you're missing! Alternatively, if you stumble across a site with articles you do want to read, but a few images that could attract unwanted attention in the workplace, simply adblock that image. If there's a sig you just don't want displayed any more, don't start a flamewar by whinging, just adblock it!

all i need now is an extension that will create an all-in-one backup install of MY firefox. So i can install FF anywhere, and have all my extensions on there, and ready to go. I don't suppose that exists anywhere?

well web dev, TabBrowser Preferences, and suprisingly (I didn't think I'd use it as much as I do) the Foxy Tunes toolbar which allows you to control Winamp.

ooh, scrapbook and adblock are great! thanks for pointing them out. i've been neglecting my extension updates lately.

my favourites before these were webdeveloper and edit css - which was an immense help to me in learning css.

I get the most use out of Hit-A-Hint. Makes for efficient, no-mouse surfing, which is made even better on Linux (in which I control windows with the keyboard as well ;p).

Well WebDev Toolbar naturally I'm also using...

AdBlock,
SmartSearch
Translate
ColorZilla
Tweak Network
forecastFox
BetterSearch
Html Validator
chatzilla (irc client)

I would really recommend SmartSearch, I like to highlight words etc and right click to search on google, but this allows me to use all my quick searches, for example I've made multimap a quicksearch now I just highlight a postcode and voila, i have a map opening up in a new tab

Currently installed:

-Edit css
-Javascript debugger
-Bookmarks Synchronizer --> This handy tool can connect to the internet (ftp/http/https) and collects and updates all your bookmarks to an online site.
-Disable target for downloads --> kills those anoying empty screens when downloading stuff
-Anidisable --> controls moving gifs
-Image zoom --> take a better look ad some pictures (or your pron collection)
-Adblock

For an even better internet experience i advise you to change theme to the Saferfox expander theme. This minimalistic /non obtrusive theme has everything on the right place and looks good too.

It it's just for 1 session, that's where Nuke Anything shines.

Most useful:
ColourZilla - gives colour readings and even which HTML tag contains the current element
Gmail Notifier - alerts you on new Gmail
Tab Clicking Options - self explanatory really
Edit CSS - learned pretty much all the CSS I know from this
Nuke Anything - remove anything from the page
SmoothWheel - scrolls smoothly down pages, lovely
Delicious Delicacies - restores the "Cookies are delicious delicacies" text in Options
I must not fear! - helped me out many a time

Least useful:
Rikaixul - provides translations of Japanese webpages, but Firefox tells me to kill the script every time I try
Web Color Names - just don't use it that much
CuneAform - very basic WYSIWYG HTML editor from before when I knew HTML, now that I do it's pretty useless
Paste IP - don't use it much
Paste Quote - pastes [ quote] and [ /quote] tags around whatever you paste. Bit useless
EggOn - an egg timer.
Flags - don't even know what this one does...

I find the most useful addon to be StumbleUpon from http://www.stumbleupon.com it is a neet little tool that lets you visit pages that you might like but probably have never been to. I use it and have found cool new resoures often.
