Ree-diculous. What kind of moron would donate to this guy? Down at the bottom it says he already has nearly 30k!

And anyone as devious and manipulative as that would have no qualms about eating the rabbit anyway. I bet he eats Toby whether he gets the 50k or not.

Either way, this guy's getting money. That's sad =\.

It's clever, it's funny, it points out what complete idiots people can be, and it's free enterprise. I think it's beautiful.

It's the people who put up sites whining about their huge credit-card debt asking for other people to pay it off for them whom I think are sad.

snopes gives a number of reasons why they believe it to be a hoax.

Although I'm willing to believe it's a hoax, snope's reasons seem to be "bunnies dont' make good pets" and "the money graphic isn't a realtime counter." The only convincing fact they give is that it used to have a disclaimer.

whatever name you want to give this ruse, it's funny to me. I'd be curious to see if he *has* actually gotten any money out of it...

2 sidenotes:

1) rabbits *do* actually make good pets. many people have them as pets - they are very easy to house train.

2) many people eat rabbits. rabbits = food. Just like chickens = food. Rabbits are just cuter.
