Topic awaiting preservation: html editor with multidocument split editing. (Page 1 of 1)

Hello,

I was wondering if anybody has even heard of such a thing and if so where to find it. A trusty google search, lead me all over the map with nothing. The reason I am interested in this is because I would like to view/edit both my css file and my html file at the same time (with the css being a external to the html file not internal) and make updates as needed. Right now I am using a very light editor called notepad2: http://www.flos-freeware.ch/notepad2.html and I open up both files and resize them to fit next to eachother. But If I can open up the two files in one editor and view/edit according to need that would be great.... If not, well the google search must go on!

i do this *sort of* with HTMLBeauty. It's tabbed so I have the html file on one tab and the css in another. keep the preveiw loaded in both IE and FF. When adjustments are made, just refresh the browser.

That along with the handy Ardvark plugin for FF, it certainly makes editing a heck of a lot easier.

yeah, there are alot of tabbed editors with split browser views but I wanted to actually view both documents at the same time... and edit them. Guess it's just a lazy way of avoiding the extra click. Would be a handy feature though..To view and edit two documents at the same time that is.... That with a syntax hi-liter and a internal browser preview would make it my editor of choice. Good Idea for a new editor anyways.

checking it out now. Seems great. I guess what I needed was a multi document "verticle tiling" option. You can even define syntax high lighting on different language types. Thanks for the link. This might be the winner.

There's some Tile windows vertically and Tile windows horizontally buttons directly in the toolbar
