When it comes to sale reductions at H&M, tax-rebates and ice-cream sundaes...bigger is definitely better. But with file-sizes I seem to be on a permanent diet reigeme! So, it seems my 'curvy' 17 frame ImageReady animation is not svelt enough for these chauvenistic dial-up modem types, and requires an Atkins-style KB reduction. I've already reduced the number of colours to the minimum I can, and followed someone elses advice to change the optimise settings to 'perceptual'. But that's not done enough. I'm at 300KB's, when 100 is what my web-designer has suggested. So...are there any other tricks I can try? Or am I just using the wrong type of animation and I should try a whole different approach? I'll happily post the animation here if someone can tell me how...it seems you can only link to URL's here, and it's just a Gif on my hard drive at present! |

There are many things to do to shrink an animation... Removing uneeded frames, reducing the amount of colors, reducing the size... Many things beyond that. But it may be hard for anyone to tell you how to do it to a particular image without seeing it. |

In order to post the anim in here, you need to upload it to a host somewhere. |
