The knife in the bathroom (along with the bulletproof vest in the closet and the gun under the desk) was the result of a paranoid guy trying to be prepared for the worst. "Special effects" were just POV-Ray with a particle system. =) Dan made the soundtrack, I agree it helps the movie a lot. Thanks!
