Topic awaiting preservation: Are you being proprely protected by your spyware scanner?

It appear thy have been coming under pressure to "delist" stuff.

Granted it can be a bit of a grey area but......

if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

The articles says that Spyware producers prefer such terms as "Potentially Unwanted Software" to Spyware. This seems like a good term for it to me. Of course, the name Potentially Unwanted Software is a little long to say all the time so let's just shorten it to PUS

As in, "My computer was infected by Spyware, but now I'm removing the PUS."
