Evangelical Scientists Refute Gravity With New 'Intelligent Falling' Theory

See, the Scientists from the Evangelical Center For Faith-Based Reasoning have elaborated an irrefutable theory.

quote:
"Let's take a look at the evidence," said ECFR senior fellow Gregory Lunsden."In Matthew 15:14, Jesus says, 'And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.' He says nothing about some gravity making them fall?just that they will fall. Then, in Job 5:7, we read, 'But mankind is born to trouble, as surely as sparks fly upwards.' If gravity is pulling everything down, why do the sparks fly upwards with great surety? This clearly indicates that a conscious intelligence governs all falling."

what a bunch of weirdo.

Strangely enough these people talk about 'intelligent' design instead of evolution.. oh, the irony of it..

Is this a part of the "God of the Gaps" belief? That's what it sounds like to me. Or a means for scared Christians to prod at scientists.

I understand where they are coming from, but they should not pursue what they are pursuing. Now I know where all of you (not just who posted) get their ideas about fanatical Christians.

Thank you for posting that Poi. I don't think you meant it for intellectual consumption, but I did learn something.

Oh come off it DL. I don't know much about gravity and Einstein's theory, but I still know that there are parts of it that haven't been proven, or even recognized yet. Like the experiments carried out in New Mexico, I think, where they are trying to produce a graviton.

Gravity is Newton and Einstein, because Newton came up with the idea and Einstein expanded upon it.

Gravity is a lie invented by the purveyors of the inherently false spherical Earth theory. The theory of gravity has never been proven. There is no gravity, only inertia. The Earth moves through space like a giant elevator. We do not fall off because we are kept down by inertia.

I have to laugh at this.
There is nothing bad about being religious (in my oppinion) and thinking that a god(s) is responsible for all life. That's one thing. But this....this.....is just out there. Gravity is gravity. Things fall because the earth attracts them. If that article were true I could defy gravity and fly just by believing that i can. Or did I read it wrong. Anyways I think I will bring this to my debate class and see what happens.
