I particularly like the 'polar tiger'

They are all great but I thought the griffin worked out particualrily well - great concept nicely executed.

The ones of babies are disturbing - anyone been to the Vrolik Museum in Amsterdam? They are like that redone by Cronenburg.

----------
This does make me wonder if something like this might be a good idea for a little challenge type thingy to run parallel to RP here (or pos. a replacement for now if people think it has run out of steam - although it has got going again so.....). Something like: "When World's Collide" and then you could have a more open photo manip challenge like:

Hybrid Creatures
Human Oddities
Alien Worlds
Creatures of the Deep
Nightmare Creatures / Dream Beings
It Came From Outer Space
Twisted Buildings
Strange Plants

and people could then go and pick images and play around with them and get feedback and advice.

Thoughts?

----------
Also Tao has reported sightings of some pretty strange creatures are these parts:

OK I've posted it before but.......

LOL -while I'll happily start a thread but the chances of my actually being able to contribute something that doesn't look like a handgrenade has been thrown into a photographic studio is low.

I would require a long time at the docilebob dojo before I even knew what I was talking about (let enough skilled enough for light sparring) but that said now might be the perfect time for you to walk us through some of your basic techniques. I'm sure quite a few people would like to do something like this in a broader sense (as well as have a play in such a contest) but they aren't really sure how to go out about - I'm sure I'm not just speaking for myself either.

So docile san - fancy demonstrating some of the bob fu we love so much?

That`s why we`re here, Master Code Dude. If it weren`t for the fine people here and their answering my bonehead questons, (and my taking the crits in a healthy light) my critters would have the "hand grenade patina" as well. You may remember some of my early work.

Mostly it`s just creative masking, but I`ll try and talk the way through one this weekend, cool ?

Ok, the script keeps adding a pair of quotation marks to the url, so let`s try it this way. http://www.layerset.net/tutorials/lionhawk/index.html
Here is the walkthrough I promised Emps. Feel free to ask questions or point out flaws.

Excellent work bob san - so the pen and the mask are indeed fighter than the sword.

I have much to ponder.
