Topic awaiting preservation: the blogosphere and such (Page 1 of 1)

I was hoping to find a way to search blogs for keywords, talking about ALL blogs on our fair planet, to guage buzz on products.

I was wonderng if anyone knew of anything developed, or in development that approaches this kind of function I might use?

I've run across umbria which is most assuredly just the ticket, tho hellishly pricey...

That would be an amazing tool, but sadly, I don't believe any non-pricey one exsists. The only thing that I know to do is go to Google. I just type in the keyword I want, and then type blog. You will find that many blogs that have the same subject are often grouped into private databases on different sites.

So yeah, that's all I know.

Just a note, Google now has their own blogsearch.

The great thing about it is you can get RSS and Atom feeds for specific search terms, just like Google News. The links for these are on the bottom of the page.
